What crazy weather!

Much of our time here in the Montgomery area has been rainy and windy.  Just to show you what it was like, I got all of these photos over a two day period in the campground.  One time I thought we were goners!

Both of these events occurred almost at the same time on two different days.  The first storm was scary, but didn't have wind or rain where we were.  The second became very windy and very rainy as well as looking very scary!

Day One:

We'd been out touring the Montgomery and it started looking like it was going to storm.  It looked serious!

The edges of the clouds appeared to have "fingers."

 It got darker and darker!

The "fingers" were creeping closer to the campground!

Now there are layers in the clouds!

It began to "run into itself."

Just before it rolled near the campground.

Surprisingly, very little wind or rain where we were for this one.  But wait, the next day - another day, another storm!
Spent the day sight seeing and headed back late in the afternoon.  It's time for napping and reading before dinner.  David and Chrissy chose the bed and I chose the couch.  I was doing fine until I asked him what they were doing back there!  The whole trailer was shaking!  About that time he asked me what I was doing up there.  Looked out the window and freaked!

We can see a storm gathering ahead and thinking "ROUND TWO."  Something about this one is different.  There is wind ahead of this one.  I got brave and decided to take some pictures outside.

These were looking up into the storm:

Then the storm got closer:

David told me to get back inside.  The wind was really rocking the trailer!  Got inside and noticed a really strange color inside coming from outside!

The sky had turned red!  It was amazing!  Although the camera didn't catch it in all its glory, the light was really glowing.  It was eerie!  Decided I'd get something to eat and go to bed before being taken to Oz!  LOL

Catch us down the road!

Jenny :)
