Eclectic day in Montgomery!

There are so many wonderful places to visit in Montgomery.  Wish we could have visited them all!  We wanted to see some eclectic sights, so back to Montgomery.  The winner of the eclectic photo of the day was just outside the Cattleman's Mooseum.

I might have been inclined to follow this one, but David wouldn't go for it!  LOL

I found a new function on the GPS.  It points out places of interest in an area.  Only took me four years to figure this out!  Off we go to find the home of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald.  She was from Montgomery and lived here with her husband for awhile.

Wish I'd planned more time and could have visited here.

Downtown Montgomery offers many historical signs and points off interest.  Tried to shoot as many as possible, but didn't come close to all of them!

Standing in the middle of the road will get you a great shot of the capitol building...provided you don't get run over.  The thought of "go play in the traffic" was going through my mind on this shot!

To the right of this shot is the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church that was once pastored by Dr. Martin Luther King.

Standing in a construction zone to get this picture.

Between the church and the capitol building was this sign:

Hang a left beside the church and there is an amazing city fountain.  It was so hot I really considered jumping in!

It looked so refreshing, I took a really close up shot of the water bubbling up.

Moving down the street:

Then there is the centerpiece:  Court Square Fountain:

Top portion of the fountain.

We were getting hungry and decided to stop for lunch.  Don't remember where, but we did keep passing this sign all day.  Finally decided you might need a giggle, too!

Funny way to end this day!

Catch us down the road!

Jenny :)
