We've planned trips closer to home to places we haven't been before! West Monroe, LA! (Don't ask!). Charleston, SC is one destination. It's the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War and that's where the first shot was fired. On to Louisville, KY to do a reunion that's been two years in the planning! We actually have box seats at Churchill Downs! Head back home to visit some local sites I won't give away....yet! We end our summer trip (maybe) by heading to Titusville, FL. The last Space Shuttle launches in June and we've never seen one go up before. Sad the program is ending.
Well, that's it for the moment, but keep checking back. I'll be tweaking how the blog looks. I'll be adding the list of stops for gas and the prices this year, too.

ECLECTIC SUMMER! Eclectic: composed of elements drawn from various sources. If you have followed our summer travel blog in the past, you'll know that we usually do 10,000 miles over about 50 something days. This year we have something new! It's short different trips a little closer to home. We have two grandsons we want to spend some time with and we have a new granddaughter arriving mid-July.
